Community
People, place, context.
Ayodhyawasi Kaushal
Problem
Community products fail when they start from features instead of belonging. People do not need another generic social feed. They need a place that understands who they are trying to reach.
Idea
Build around a specific community — Ayodhyawasi Kaushal — and let the product stay close to that context: people, place, and the reasons someone would actually open it.
Role
I worked on the product shape and the React / mobile experience: how people are represented, how information is grouped, and how the interface stays human.
Architecture / engineering
A React client with a mobile-first information structure. Lists and profiles are the core objects. The system stays readable on a phone because that is where community products actually live.
Technology
React for the interface, with a mobile-oriented layout and interaction model. The stack favors clarity over novelty.
Challenges
Community software has messy data and high emotion. Names, families, places and trust cannot be treated like generic user rows.
Solution
Lead with people and context. Keep the navigation short. Make the next useful action obvious — find someone, understand a connection, reach out.
Result
A community application with a clear reason to exist. The work sits at the overlap of product, culture and interface — which is usually where the interesting problems are.
What I learned
Specificity is a feature. A product that is honest about who it is for will always feel more designed than a platform that tries to be for everyone.
Visuals
Interface study. Production screenshots can replace these compositions through the project media fields.
Community
People, place, context.
